Is there a pattern? For example, a while back I had problems with this laptop coming back from suspend which would manifest itself as a Machine check exception. I found that booting with the "nomce" kernel option was a suitable work-around until the core issue was fixed. If you just want to get the machine back up and stable to regress a change you made, this might do the trick. Or, if the system really is hosed, it'll often just lock up instead of generating an MCE. ;-) C. - -- Craig McLean http://fukka.co.uk craig@xxxxxxxxxxx Where the fun never starts Powered by FreeBSD, and GIN! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDvl5VMDDagS2VwJ4RAuBEAJ4yQ+EmFQn6etqa+3bWYBhZw6GH2wCfXONV ZpoDqxvo9k2qUXS54wMAHKg= =0NXL -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
