I deal with that by using RAID1 (mirrors) for the archive and periodically swapping one out and re-syncing to another. I do it mostly to have an offsite copy but it has also been a quick fix for a drive failure and would allow a theoretically infinite life for the copy - or at least as long as anyone cares about it... -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell@xxxxxxxxx
