I've heard that too, about the drivers.  lspci -vv will give you a
little more detail about the devices.  How many capture cards do you
have?

It looks like the interrupt from the capture card is shared with your
USB and Firewire interfaces.  Is there any thing on those interfaces
that might be very active, like a disk?

Have you searched pchdtv.com?  There is a forum, but I did not see
anything in particular, but it was just a quick look.  I did notice that
their is apparently downloadable firmware for the 3000.

Are you specifying any special boot parameters to the kernel like
noacpi?

Quick answers before I go tinker -

I have not done anything with the firmware, so I will work on that in a sec.  Sounds like a simple copy paste thing, correct?

I have no USB devices besides the mouse plugged in, and no firewire at all.  No specail boot parameters as far as I know.  How would I check?

I will post output of the command in a sec.
