Anyone with recent experience with ATI on Linux? Works reasonably well? Hotkey switching for external display and tv-out supported OK?

I've got an ATI card on my Gateway Performance 1000XL. I routinely install the kernel-module-fglrx package whenever a new kernel comes out. I have yet to use any of the special features, though, so perhaps my experience isn't typical. But at least I haven't had a problem displaying things.
