My new employer let's me get into work using vpn with IPSEC. I assume that this means that I can use openswan. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

What they gave me is an external ip address, a username and a password. It goes into a Nortel appliance of some sort.

If this is in fact a job for openswan, can someone please tell me how to configure it, how to start it, and what do I do once it's started? I've never used a vpn before.

TIA
