We are upgrading our network from 10/100 to 10/100/1000 Ethernet and I need to

any 10/100/1000 ethernet that "just works" with fedora.
I have a mix of Fedora Core 1 and Fedora Core 4 servers and desktops. I want
something that will be detected like the 10/100 cards are now. I do not want
to have to compile a driver or make a custom kernel.
Can't speak for FC1, but I just bought a Netgear GA311 10/100/1000 NIC
that worked right out of the box in FC4. It uses a Realtek 8169 chip.
I have that one intgrated on a motherboard, performance-wise it kind of
sucks (relative to some other gig chipsets) and it doesn't support
jumbo frames, but it's more than adequate for a desktop/workstation.
