Yes, an AMD. but there are some differences. So far I have noticed that ebtables brouter is not part of the core and some applications don't compile cleanly. A 32bit RPM was the solution in several cases. In the case of zone minder I was unsuccessful. I was unable to install the one game I tried. (Railroad Tycoon). I didn't get the DVD player working.

Yes.
x86_64 can run native 32bit applications out of the box. 
(My x86/64 FC4 runs 32bit OpenOffice, 32bit media player and... computer
games :))
