I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this already as I haven't followed
this email much but there is a reason for folders not being able to be named
"con" as well as a few other names.  These are the names of old DOS
functions and/or hardware references.  COM1 through COM9 inclusive, CON,
PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, LPT1 through LPT9 inclusive, and NUL are some of the names
that I know work this way.
