Will someone please advise a package in Fedora Core 4 which I could be using to make my PC shutdown in save-to-disk mode. In kernel config I found that a special patch to SysVinit needed, but I can not find it anywhere. How do I save-to-disk? In additition: when I try to save-to-mem by # echo mem >/sys/power/state my PC suddenly powers off. After turning it on the system boots as usual, and unclean shutdown is indicated later. Why is that?
