ThunderBird is great too, but unfortunately Evolution is the only one with decent Calendar and Task support.  Unless you can recomment something else.

decline in functionality and quality IMO.

I recently switched to Sylpheed-Claws (Fedora Extras) after several
years of Evo (since Redhat 9) and I extremely pleased with the speed
and flexibility. Migration of mailboxes and addresses was a snap.
