Hi list I was trying to execute the xset dpms force off command via ssh on a remote machine but it keeps saying xset: unable to open display "" When I am physically on that machine, doing the same command results in the montitor shutting off. I tried ssh -X, and ssh -x, tried DISPLAY=:0.0 xset but none of it works. Anyone has a clue?
