over a week since my last FC4 "yum update", and this morning's attempt generates: ... ---> Package gcc-c++.i386 0:4.0.2-8.fc4 set to be updated --> Running transaction check --> Processing Dependency: gcc = 4.0.1 for package: libtool --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Missing Dependency: gcc = 4.0.1 is needed by package libtool so the update would obviously update gcc from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2, but this wouldn't go down well with libtool. i could just update and exclude libtool, unless someone knows if this would cause any breakage. rday
