 Because of freeze ups, I suggested changing kernels -- only alsa locks
 up ? From a recent topic - I suggested , make sure your speakers are
plugged into the digital output. I've had to move mine after installing
fc4 + alsa.  --gary

 ps - Just downloaded the new kernel - so far so good.
