Re: FC3 installation failure -- SATA problem?

I would suggest that U create partitions 'but do not format' from dual boot side. These partitions will be picked up by FC3. Check 1024 cylinder limit for FC3.
Please take care about the size of partitions (up to last bit), as OS do not strictly follow the partitioning standard.
Linux creates partitions of size matching cylinder boundaries but win(nt) will make partitions in units of MB. Loosely Linux will work with any size.
Or U use one of latest live Linux CD (like knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html),

Thanks, Steve, for your kind reply.

But could you please explain how to use fdisk to remove all partitions? I have a dual-boot machine with Windows XP on another partition.

Thanks, in advance.
