I think I know the answer to this question, but I'd like confirmation...
Today, when I tried to do a yum update, I got the following response.
Resolving Dependencies
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
---> Package directfb.x86_64 0:0.9.24-4.fc4 set to be updated

What this tells me is that xine-lib and mplayer want me to leave version
0.9.22 of libdirectfb and friends installed, right?
In your experience, how likely is it that xine and mplayer will break if
I force the update to firectfb 0.9.24?
Would a reasonable approach be to remove xine and mplayer, apply the
update to directfb, then reinstall xine and mplayer, banking on the
chance they'll work with directfb 0.9.22 *or higher*?
Thanks,
Jay
