I had thought that an iso was an image.
What distinction is being drawn here?
It is, however when burning, one can burn an iso image, or an iso
file. If you burn an iso image, you end up with a usable disk
containing files and folders. If you burn an iso file, you end up with
one large file on your disk. Pretty useless, except for maybe backup
purposes.
