ID, and use Gnome and OO? They will be sharing the same user home

Thats usually ok but not simultaneously. Its potentially much better to
have different user ids.
Also, is there a way to disable users from changing their Gnome and
other preferences?
Sure is. Sabayon is Fedora Extras
(http://www.gnome.org/~seth/blog/sabayon) and
pessulus(http://www.vuntz.net/journal/2005/09/13/316-announcing-pessulus)
both of which are stated for inclusion in GNOME 2.14 which will be
included in Fedora Core 5.
