Re: delete old kernel

Hi

package-cleanup is not a known command in FC3, is it new to FC4 or did I miss
a package?
Its part of yum-utils in Fedora Extras which is enabled by default from FC4 onwards. To enable the repository for FC3 see http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras. Fedora development version and FC5 (when available) has a installonlyn yum plugin written by Fedora developers to only retain 2 kernels by default. Also the installer now only installs either the SMP kernel or the uniprocessor kernel as appropriate for the system. Earlier versions used to install both and set the default as appropriate since the UP only provided a fallback for SMP regression. Such regressions are now not common anymore to warrant that.

regards
Rahul
