Hi all, I have two home computers (Fedora Core 4 and Windows XP Home) >and an HP printer. I connect to the internet by way of a cable modem, with a fixed IP address. I need a router that will: 1) Allow both machines to access the internet. 2) Allow both machines to access the printer. I have seen routers with USB ports for printers- that's what I'm looking for. 3) Allow VPN connections that authenticate with MS-CHAP to outside computers (you may have seen that in an earlier thread!). As I cannot get the VPN to work from the fedora box, I'm hoping that the router will make the necessary connections and the fedora box doesn't need to worry about it. 4) If the two home computers could access each others files, that would be great. Right now, we move things about on a disk-on-key.
Thanks, everybody. Any experience that you have in this area is welcome information.
