Doing a dig google.com times out
repeating dig with trace shows that it goes to A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET, gets
forwarded to A.GTLD-SERVERS.NET, gets forwarded to ns1.google.com but fails
there. . .

There was a period not long ago today when Google wouldn't load at all.
Only realized it when my start site (www.google.com/ig) failed to load.
First time it happened. Was quite shocked.
