I've been getting spam from what APPEARS to be an Oriental dating
service of some kind. I am running sylpheed-claws, and by using it's
"Harvest addressses" tool, I came up with the following list of
addresses:

info@xxxxxxxxxx
Running jwhois on each of the above addresses shows virtually identical
information. The only differences are the dates that the domains were
registered and updated, and will expire. The contact info in all
twelve cases is exactly like this:

also, the registrar is ttpia.com in all twelve cases.
Because of the recent issues with uol.com.br, I thought that I'd see if
perhaps I started getting this spam because of some nefarious
person/people that got my address from this list.

P.S.: I am having issues with my internet provider right now, so if the

Also, I did a little further research on the links within the spam
messages that I have been receiving, and I suspect that what I thought
was an Oriental dating service is either soft or hard-core
pornography. This is one case where the RADICAL slowness of my
broadband internet connection worked in my favor :) Couldn't even
finish loading the page..... :)
