No dont remove them,what you need is :-

xscreensaver-extras-4.21-4
xscreensaver-base-4.21-4
xscreensaver-gl-extras-4.21-4

Enable the "extras-devel" repo and then 'yum update xscreensaver' and
then 'yum install xscreensaver\*'
