help with USB CD-Burner killing bootup

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have a TDK USB CD Burner that works out-of-the box with FC 2, FC 3, RHEL 3, and RHEL 4.

With FC 4, if I have it plugged in at boot time, the bootup sequence freezes.

If I plug it in after bootup, it works fine and automounts (/dev/scd1) until I need a reboot, then it freezes the boot sequence.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? So far, I've tried:
-disabling most things from running at boot
-recompiling kernel
-updating and trying new kernels

Thanks for any help.
