FC3: mplayer-1.0-0.17.pre7 crashes

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello folks,

since I upgraded mplayer on my FC3 box to mplayer-1.0-0.17.pre7.1.fc3.rf (and
deps), I get occasional crashes when playing some .avi files (it always
crashes w/ the same files). Rolling back to 1.0-0.16 and everything is fine.

I noticed that if I override my settings to use -vo x11, it doesn't crash. It
crashes w/ -vo sdl as well.

A bit more info about my system: updated FC3 on a Dell D810 (P4M 2GHz, 1GB
memory, Ati X600 w/ fglrx driver, DRI turned ON).

Any hint? Is there anything I can do (but rolling back to 1.0-0.16 :-)?

- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and

- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible
bug.
