Hi.. Recently I have started having this problem that no user other than root can login through X-windows on gnome / kde. If I use enlightenment I can login however I cannot open firefox / mozilla / thunderbird. I am attaching an output of my /var/log/messages... Initially i tried to log on as a normal user and then as root. The latter succeeded. goks is the name of my machine as well as the name of the user that I'm trying to log in with. Gstreamer seemed to have an unresolved dependency so I excluded it from being updated. Could anyone give me a clue as to what may be wrong? TIA Dattatraya
