Hi everybody,

I have installed "madplay" on my system (FC-3). i have
installed the following dependencies correctly...

1.) libmad-0.15.1b
2.) libid3tag-0.15.1b

& these are installed wihtout any problem.

After these i installed "madplay-0.15.2b".It is also
installed without any problem but i try to run it to
decode a mp3 file or ask it for help, it gives
following error.

*****************************************************

[hacker@localhost lame-3.96.1]$ madplay --help
madplay: error while loading shared libraries:
libid3tag.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory
[hacker@localhost lame-3.96.1]$

********************************************************

i have added the following lines to my <.bashrc> file
in my home directory:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/lib

export
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig

AND these are the contents of my </usr/local/lib>
directoty:

***************************************************************************************************

[hacker@localhost Desktop]$ ls /usr/local/lib
libid3tag.a libid3tag.so.0 libmad.la
libmad.so.0.2.1 libmp3lame.so libz.so
libid3tag.la libid3tag.so.0.3.0 libmad.so
libmp3lame.a libmp3lame.so.0 libz.so.1
libid3tag.so libmad.a libmad.so.0
libmp3lame.la libmp3lame.so.0.0.0 libz.so.1.2.2
[hacker@localhost Desktop]$

****************************************************************************************************

also my </etc/ld.so.conf> file reads:

include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/local/lib

i want to use "madplay" because its decoding time
(from .mp3 to .wav which i finally decode to .ogg as i
did not find any good quality .mp3 to .ogg decoder)is
exactly 1/2 of LAME & quality is same.

can anybody help me?

thanks
