If you still have this with later kernels something bad is happening. Keep the drive backed up daily, eg, with rsync. I was going to suggest you can also configure the smartd service to monitor the drive, if it detects problems it can give a more useful diagnostic. But then I realized it doesn't seem to be on this FC4 box and I can no longer find it. Previously it was in FC3 in kernel-utils. So there's another mystery. -Andy
