The "p" is the secret. I think it's one of the rare laptops that still offers a 15" 1600x1200 UXGA screen. Its $2799 base price isn't cheap (with my options it'd cost $4400), but at about 6 pounds it's both highly mobile and a no-compromise desktop replacement. +1 I recently replaced a ThinkPad A22p with a T42p. Both are very nice systems. As long as Lenovo makes "p" versions, I will continue to buy ThinkPads -- for my money, they're the best machines available. Ed -- Edward H.
