- I tried that first. When you go to Firefox -> Edit Menu ->
Preferences -> Downloads ->
I see no way to do either of the following things:
1. define a new mime type (and then associate it with a program.
2, Add extensions to an existing mime type.For example there is a line
that says DOC files are to be opened with OpenOffice. How would you
add  that RTF files are to be opened with
OpenOffice. This has bugged me for over 6 months?
