doveco imapt:FATAL can't use SSL certificate
/etc/pki/dovecot/dovecot.pem : permission denied
i was configuring sendmail

According to this site you have have only enabled pop3 in dovecot.conf file, but you have said you are not able to have SSL access, further the error you have shown above seems to be with imap and SSL so try this in the dovecot.conf file.
# Protocols we want to be serving imap imaps pop3 pop3s
protocols = imap imaps pop3 pop3s
add the protocol that you want your mail client to be either pop3/imap or both.
