How was Qmail installed? If you create a new file in the same directory, does it have root as the owner, and can you change the owner/group? Cheers, Ben [Timothy A. Holmes] Hi Ben -- the file system is whatever default installs with Fedora Core 3 -- as I recall its EXT3, but I could be wrong on that SELINUX is disabled Trying to create a new file Touch test Gives me a file with the same owner/group and it cannot be changed either Qmail was installed using the procedure outlined at www.qmailrocks.org.
