Freenx will give the best response over low bandwidth or high latency (many hops) connections and isn't bad locally either. Vnc is the most versatile - there is even a palm pilot version and with a little tweak of your X configuration it can grab the live console session which is handy to check remotely on long-running programs. Xorg/Cygwin X are very good over fast local connections and have the least overhead on the server (probably not an issue unless you have a lot of remote GUI users at the same time). -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell@xxxxxxxxx
