Read that article earlier and totally agree.
I have also read an article about a person that purchased a DVD to
watch while away on business. Only to find that he needed to install
special anti-copy software from some company (not listed on the box)
and to register it (couldn't from outside the US) and found that it
would only allow x number of plays before needing to be connected to
the server and updated.
And in the US, the media companies are trying to get new broadcast
control laws (broadcast flags) passed within a budget bill. Just like
the one that was thrown out in the courts.
