bash and gnome-terminal in Fedora Core 4

 Hi everybody,

 I'm not a linux expert and I noticed a small problem
if I use bash in gnome-term. If I have a long command
line the line is not splited on a separate row. If I
use tcsh a <CR-LF> seems to be inserted at the end of
the line and my command continues nicely on the second
row.
 Can anybody give me some hints about how to convince
bash to behave the same?
