I had gphoto2-2.1.5 that worked fine on my FC4. Now I wanted to upgrade and optimize it to 2.1.6. It compiled well, but when new rpm has been installed (-2.1.6.i686.rpm) it refuses to work with usb port. Run with --debug option says, 0.001153 main(2): gphoto2 has been compiled with the following options: 0.001562 main(2): + gcc (C compiler used) 0.001968 main(2): + popt (for handling command-line parameters) 0.002380 main(2): + no exif (for displaying EXIF information) 0.002799 main(2): + no cdk (for accessing configuration options) 0.003208 main(2): + no aa (for displaying live previews) 0.003597 main(2): + no jpeg (for displaying live previews in JPEG format) 0.004068 main(2): + no readline (for easy navigation in the shell) 0.004481 main(2): libgphoto2 2.1.6 0.004944 main(2): libgphoto2 has been compiled with the following options: 0.005374 main(2): + gcc (C compiler used) 0.005776 main(2): + no EXIF (for special handling of EXIF files) 0.006193 main(2): + no ltdl (working around buggy libltdl, eh? :-) 0.006590 main(2): + /proc/meminfo (adapts cache size to memory available) 0.007040 main(2): libgphoto2_port 0.5.1 0.007442 main(2): libgphoto2_port has been compiled with the following options: 0.007975 main(2): + gcc (C compiler used) 0.008360 main(2): + no USB (for USB cameras) 0.009034 main(2): + serial (for serial cameras) 0.009428 main(2): + no resmgr (serial port access and locking) 0.009844 main(2): + no baudboy (serial port locking) 0.010247 main(2): + no ttylock (serial port locking) 0.010658 main(2): + no lockdev (serial port locking) 0.011068 main(2): + no ltdl (working around buggy libltdl, eh? :-) So I suppose that I compiled without usb support. I looked at configure --help, but there is even no mention of usb! What should I do to compile it the right way? Thank You. -- Best regards, Strong.
