Hi Fedora Users,
I am trying to configure my Fedora system as a router but this is not working.
In my opinion, configuring Linux as a router is nothing more than
"echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4.ip_forward".
This is my current situation.
Distro : Fedora FC3 ( last update today )
machine A --> fedora router --> machine B.
machine A : 192.168.3.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
defaultroute 192.168.3.2
Fedora router : eth1 192.168.3.2 netmask 255.255.255.0
eth2 192.168.2.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4.ip_forward"
iptables : no rules defined ( everything ACCEPT )
machine B : 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0
When I try to ping, from machine A 192.168.3.2 and 192.168.2.1, no problem but when I try to ping 192.168.2.2 or when I try connect on
the webserver running on 192.168.2.2, I don't get any answer.
I know this question is very stupid but it seems I miss something. So can somebody help me to solve this problem ???
Did you set 192.168.2.1 as the default gateway on 192.168.2.2?
Best regards,
Bernd.
