Do you think it just might be better for me to roll back to FC3 then? Or just maybe change my kernel (if I can and I have NO CLUE how to.)

I don't know if the driver will work for you but here are first steps:
open a terminal window
unzip the downloaded file [ unzip "WF 741-UIC_Linux.zip"]
this creates a directory named "WF 741-UIC_Linux"
cd "WF 741-UIC_Linux"
Read the pdf file [ xpdf WF\ 741-UIc\ Linux\ driver\ help.pdf]
My reading of the pdf implies that the driver might work for a version 2.4
kernel. It doubt it will work for a version 2.6 kernel.
Please post the portion of /var/log/messages that shows the hardware. [open a
terminal window as root, type: "tail -f /var/log/messages", then plug the card
in. If the hardware sees it, you will see messages on the screen.]
