Which software are you using,if hpoj/hpijs swap over to hplip it
supports PSC-750 and is HP's next gen. driver,its in 'extras' or
'updates-testing'can't remember which.

Ok, i installed it....but i did not get the files according to the
releasedoc. i should have got hpaio and libsane-hpaio

Check 'rpm -ql hplip' did you try "/etc/init.d/hplip [re]start" then
"/etc/init.d/cups restart"
