Yeah, I have enabled X11 forwarding (including trusted mode) in the configs. But I still don't get the DISPLAY variable set when I log into the box (xorg-x11-libs package & deps installed). So I'm guessing something else is wrong.

By 'squid_allow_any', I am assuming you mean 'squid_connect_any'. I tried this instead of 'squid_disable_trans', but that does not work. I can only get squid up and running on http_port 64030 by setting 'squid_disable_trans'.

You can also use /etc/selinux/targeted/booleans to set SELinux booleans. setsebool would only do that for the current session
Yup, I did that, only I put what I need in /etc/selinux/targeted/booleans.local.
