I have a Sony DRU-530A that is giving me some issues.
Today I was going to to burn a CD and kept getting errors that there was
no media in the drive. I switched several different CD's all giving the
same results.
I tried playing an audio CD, no luck. It appears that it isn't even
reading rhe CD.
I've burned CD's and played audio CD's in the machine before. So I would
assume that one of the updates 'might' have caused some issues. Perhaps
not though.
When starting K3B, it seems to be looking for CD devices for a rather
long time.
In /var/log/messages I have lots of entries as follows:

There are no errors when booting the machine up.

The symlinks look ok:
[cajun@moe ~]$ ll /dev/dvd /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Aug 25 16:33 /dev/cdrom -> hdc
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Aug 25 16:33 /dev/dvd -> hdc
The strangest thing of all is I can put in a video DVD and it will play
perfectly. No issues at all.
Anyone have any ideas on what might be the issue?
Thanks,
Mike
