Which version of the kernel are you using in FC4? IIRC, there were
kernel updates to FC4 that uses 2.6.12. This looks a lot like a kernel
issue since Ubuntu uses 2.6.10 and SUSE uses 2.6.11. I'm not entirely
sure though. This is the first thought that came into my mind after
reading your post.
