I would wager that this is rhn-applet complaining, not up2date.  The
rhn-applet is broken in FC4 because of lack of repomd support.

You'd win. I did both google and read Bugzilla headers about this but
there was no direct reference to my problem.

I bet if you close the rhn-applet your traffic goes away, too.

The point you are missing is that no form of registration is needed to
get
updates.  The fact you are prompted to register when clicking the
rhn-applet is a bug.

I've been able to update disregarding whether my registration was in
order or not. Anyway, my problem is SOLVED! Thanks a lot, Bill!
