Dear Folks, After closing so many applications while pressing C-W while actually wanting to copy text, I decided that what I want is emacs keybindings, as described in the help, which I have copied and pasted at the end of this email. However, I do not see the "Dialog element" "Text editing shortcuts" when I start gnome-keybinding-properties. properties:/// doesn't seem to work in nautilus any more. So how should I enable emacs keybindings? System: FC4 on a P4. ====================== From the help: ====================== Customizing Keyboard Shortcuts A keyboard shortcut is a key or combination of keys that provides an alternative to standard ways of performing an action.
