I use this, but not on Fedora C3/4. I'd bet that this works on all the Fedora releases. You can indeed backup the / system, any and all files and folders, no samba or nfs exports required. You can download the linux agent for free I believe, at least you once were before Symantec bought Veritas. -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Garry Harthill Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 7:23 AM To: For users of Fedora Core releases Subject: Veritas Backup Exec Linux Agents and Fedora C3/4 There is a Linux client agent for Backup Exec. On the site it claims compatibility with RHEL3. Has anyone got this client agent working with either Fedora C3 or C4? Also, how exactly does the agent work. Does it require exports or samba shares or can it backup an entire mount point eg "/"? Can you choose any files or directories for the backup. I have googled all this but information is thin on the ground unless you want pricing for purchasing it. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
