I want to install VMware WS5 onto my FC3 kernel 2.6.12-1 box.

I downloaded the eval version of WS5, and it said it needed to compile

I tried up2date --get-source kernel, but I am getting zero length

How come I'm getting zero length files when using get-source?

Error in the Release Notes; if you want the kernel source you need to go
get it by hand (from the Fedora SRPMs).

Thats a bug in up2date rather than a error in release notes. for FC4 you can do the following

# yum install yum-utils
#yumdownloader --source kernel
