Thanks I've read the bug and don't think it's the same because I get the
same problem with both the smp and non smp kernels.
However I tried the steps i.e.
1. yum update mkinitrd
2. yum remove kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3 kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3
3. yum update
All seemed to work OK but still the same error.
So I tried using RPM and got the following:
rpm -U mkinitrd-4.1.18.1-1.i386.rpm
package mkinitrd-4.1.18.1-1 is already installed
rpm -e mkinitrd-4.1.18.1-1.i386.rpm
error: package mkinitrd-4.1.18.1-1.i386.rpm is not installed
Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards
Cameron
