That was it all right - somehow I missed this one when I was doing the bugzilla search :-{ In my case (I am running FC3, not 4) I was able to back down from udev-039-10.FC3.7 to udev-039-10.FC3.6 (which required removing an older kernel which I wasn't using any more) and the problem went away. Now here's the wierd part. I'm still running udev-039-10.FC3.6 at the office where this occurred first, and last did any RPM updates about 3 weeks before the problem suddenly started happening... I'll upgrade to a later kernel and see if that helps (while not upgrading the udev package)... Thanks a big bunch, -- William W.
