The "*F298CEE6BE03DAEB0D515166F40879C6DD1D24F3" is encrypted password and may be mysqldump does not recognizes the encrypted password.The encrypted password is created through "select password(' ankush') " at the mysql prompt. Do you know the minimum requirements for a user to issue mysqldump command.Means what privlieges it requires like select,lock tables etc. Thanks & Regards Ankush Grover
