juan... you might try doing an install as a text-based install, you might also try to install using the attributes to prevent modprobe.. i don't recall exactly what the attributes are that you need to add at the beginning... FC has at times had various issues when dealing with a given video card/monitor.. it sounds as though this might somehow be your problem... if no one else can help you, i can get them to you later on... -bruce -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Juan Sent: Monday, August 01, 2005 8:52 AM To: 'For users of Fedora Core releases' Subject: FC4 installation doesn't work Hi. I bought the CDs from Linux central and they tested OK. I have FC3 installed in this box and its installation was a breeze. Now when trying to install/upgrade to FC4 I go through the Anaconda process till the moment it should begin to ask for the language. At this point the screen turns totally white so I can't keep installing. Is there a way to overcome this? Has someone had this kind of problem and solved it? Thanks in advance Juan
