You don't need the full source of the kernel to be able to compile the
NVidia closed source driver. The easiest and recommended way is even to
bypass compilation and using the rpm packaged driver from

http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/3/i386/RPMS.stable/

If you don't want to use the livna.org package you then simply run "yum
install kernel-devel". Though the kernel-devel for the latest FC3 update
kernel was a packaging mistake, that package brings you what you need to
compile additional kernel modules.
